CROCK-POT CREAM CHEESE TACO DIP

Dip. Dip. Dip.  Dip with cream cheese!
First…for those that are reading this recipe, I am going to say this upfront. This cheesy recipe uses a block of processed cheese…yep good ol’ Velveeta (or the generic version of). Yes, it is not shredded cheese but I personally think Velveeta tastes good and melts great in the slow cooker. And of course it tastes good when mixed with other tasty ingredients.
If you are still with me on this recipe lets get on with this creamy and cheesy dip!
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef browned and crumbled with drippings drained
  • 16 ounces jarred salsa
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or use our Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 16 ounces cream cheese cubed
  • 16 ounces American processed cheese such as Velveeta

Instructions
  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. In a skillet on the stove top brown and crumble the ground beef and drain off the drippings.
  3. Add ground beef and remaining ingredients to a 3 to 4 quart slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. To serve, set the crock-pot on the WARM setting with your favorite tortilla chips and enjoy!
